Only people in Third St bike lane are dumpster divers and shopping carts. Never saw any use of Keith Road lanes.

Couns. Roger Bassom spoke on CBC radio and the basic decision that he put forward was that because of densification in the area, the DNV could not CANCEL a whole car lane in favour of bikes.

Another example of the rampant densification in the DNV at the expense of the people and our livability.

As people get older, they are not going to be using bikes, but cars and transit. Not all of us are able to use bikes on the hilly North Vancouver. I think that there is a veritable culture of hate toward anybody who drives an automobile. Car drivers are having to dodge cyclists and longboarders who scoff at the rules of the road. It is like they are trying to play a game of chicken with cars. I think it is time that cyclists be licensed, also.

The entire North Vancouver is facing a redistribution of its ridings, with a public hearing coming up on Monday, and a possible joining od Seymour with Burnaby-Douglas, and all that can be posted here is something about a bike lane?

Hello...

I'm an avid recreational off-road cyclist and I keep away from the streets as much as possible. Unfortunately the roads are designed for cars. This is a car world. I have nothing against people riding their bikes on the road, but when it's a question of a collision between bike and car, car wins. If cyclists want to use the roads the onus is on them to obey all road rules and be on the absolute defensive when doing so. I think the streets are a crazy place for a bicycle. Having said all that I believe the incident on Keith Road was an unfortunate one where the motorist was blinded by the sun and just did not see the cyclist so the cyclist was not at fault. Still the streets are a dangerous place for cyclists, motorcycles, long boarders etc. I keep away.

Hello....Anonymous Sept. 04,10:36 PM 2012,

If you can provide a link to the 'redistribution of its ridings' in North Vancouver I will post it. I could not find one

Blinded by the sun.

This happened to me recently. I was driving on Mount Seymour Parkway and lost my safety.

What do you do when you are blinded by the sun?
