Not sure what the above comment has to do with anything.

John, would it not be more likely that Keating is happier about all the vote splitting on the right? Personally, I hope that SOMEONE keeps Keating from becoming an MLA and whether it's Naomi or Jeff doesn't really matter much.

Anon 2:51 PM,
So why are you in disfavour of Mr. Keating? He's quite popular as City councillor.

Hmmm, maybe because Keating is an NDP candidate? Despite how popular he may be in North Van, he's carrying the banner of a party that nearly destroyed the BC economy in the 1990's. Let us never forget that decade of scandal, corruption, debt and deficit spending...

Let us not forget the last past decade of scandal, sheer arrogance, lies, BC Rail fiasco, HST fiasco, corruption, debt, and deficit spending as well.

Keating may be "billed" as a popular councillor but it is very true that many council observers are voting for him just to remove him from council. He has a very poor reputation with a large group of people.

Yes, all of the above comments are true. Which offer some compelling reasons to vote for Mr. Sprague and the BCCP instead of these other sad and gag-worthy options. Seriously folks, we need a new alternative this time!

What a sad commentary that we vote FOR someone to move them into a new job because we don't like them in their old job. In this particular situation, Keating's ego is what may have got him in trouble, and it may also be his downfall in the future, IMHO. If not this time, then in the future. Here's a novel idea: why not evaluate ALL the candidates in terms of the skill set they bring to the job, including all the skeletons in their respective closets (and that includes their cohorts). On that score, all parties have issues.

Using the criteria of 12:40:00, I still can't vote for Keating. Is there going to be an All-Candidates' Meeting for NV-Lonsdale?

Anonymous said...

Yes - check with the Chamber of Commerce because they are organizing that one.

Keating is only Popular with Buchannan and Mussatto,
Vote as a threesome on all issues.

Jeff has resigned as a candidate. No details on NW news tip they sent out. It was an even vote before, now Naomi has an edge.
