North Vancouver City calls a halt to smart meter program
The City has called for a halt to the smart meter program so should not the District be doing the same? Word has it that BC Hydro is installing meters in the Lynn Valley area right now.
A brown lawn is not a dead lawn, it is merely dormant. The sooner people understand this the better and stop wasting water on a patch of grass. In a perfect world, people would get rid of their lawns and xeriscape.
The amount of radio waves is far less than my cordless/cell phones or WiFi and if I can get a better rate on electricity by putting my dishwasher on delay and using power at 3:00am I'll take it.
One billion for BC HYDRO to spend of our money, for what? Ignore the ads.
The future for BC HYDRO is privatisation. This will kill it so it will be bought up at a bargain by some multinational corporation that could care less about the people of BC.
11:05, we're already allowing it. Just look at what Haper pulled off with his crime bill. We're heading the direction of America and people seem to be asleep.

Yes, absolutely the DNV should call a moratorium as the CNV did.
This is just another example of the lack of democratic process when it comes to the spending of our tax dollars.
This is especially bad since it's a $billion of our money spent to cost us more down the road.
Also there are health issues and privacy issues.
Correction, there are alleged health issues and privacy issues. But I tend to agree with it being a waste of our money.
Too little too late. these meters have been produced, purchased, and are already being installed.
Again we were taken for patsies.
We must encourage everyone we know to vote and talk to 5 who will talk to 5, etc.

They should privatize everything
More corporate control. Less democracy. Do we just stand by and allow it?
